Our reports can help you make sure you are getting the best care – high quality care. We offer ratings that show how successful Minnesota physicians and other health care providers (clinics, medical groups and hospitals) are in helping patients achieve best practices – care that is proven to work.
Use this information to:
For example, if you have recently been diagnosed with diabetes, you can use our reports to learn about the five treatment goals for treatment of the disease. Our reports can also tell you which clinics are most successful in helping patients meet the treatment goals. If you have a heart condition and you learn that you will need surgery, you can use our reports to learn more about certain kinds of heart surgery and how often the hospitals in your community have performed it.

Our reports are divided into four sections:
Clinic reports will tell you how successful individual medical clinics (doctor’s offices) are in helping patients achieve best practices for care of chronic conditions such as diabetes, depression and vascular disease. You can also learn how health information technology is being used and how patients rated experience they had with that clinic
Medical Group reports will tell you how successful medical groups (groups of clinics) are in helping patients get the preventive care they need, such as immunizations (shots) and cancer screenings. You can also learn about care received for treatment of chronic conditions such as asthma and high blood pressure, and acute conditions like colds and bronchitis.
Hospital reports will tell you how successful hospitals are in helping patients get all the care they need for treatment of certain conditions. You can also learn how many complex surgeries were performed and what kinds of outcomes, or results, patients had.
Cost of Care reports show how much medical groups are paid by Minnesota health plans to provide common health care services such as colonoscopy, therapy sessions, and maternity care. The amount you pay may be different.
